20th Anniversary Event Exclusively for Reach Student Dance Company Members

September 26 & 27 we will be hosting a dance convention exclusively for Reach students.  We will be bringing up 3 instructors from Los Angeles’ In Studio Dance Convention to do a workshop for our students. Currently In Studio Dance has conducted dance conventions for some of the top rated dance schools in the US and we are bringing them up to Canada for the first time.  Participation in their conventions would normally cost $150-$250 per student.  In celebration of our 20th anniversary the Schools of Music and Dance are providing this amazing opportunity at no cost to the students.  Exact times for this event will be emailed to all Reach students closer to the date.  The instructors will be:

Born and raised in Mountain View, CA, Stacey began her life as a dancer at the age of 4. She was fortunate enough to be a member of The Dance Company of San Francisco, under the direction of Chris Jacobsen.  Stacey moved to Los Angeles in 2003 to attend her dream school, UCLA.  She received Bachelors Degrees in both Psychology and World Arts and Cultures with a concentration in Dance.  During her years at UCLA, she was a Director for NSU Modern as well as a dancer on the award winning hip-hop group, Team Millennia.   After college, Stacey traveled the world as a principal dancer and company manager on the beautiful Holland America Line cruise ship, the ms Amsterdam.  She danced her way through 4 continents over the span of 2 years.  Stacey is currently represented for dance and on-camera by MSA. Some of Stacey’s other credits include Viennie V, Quadron, and Unity Dance Company (under the direction of Tessandra Chavez), to name a few.  She is currently the co-owner of In Studio Dance and loves to share her passion for teaching with dancers around the country.

As a model she has worked various industry and runway shows as well as numerous print ads such as Uno Magazine, Power Hair, Paul Mitchell, and United Colors of Benetton. Her dance credits include: Walt Disney/Buena Vista Pictures, WNBA SparKids, Little Romeo, Josie and the Pussycats, Laura Flores, Julion Alvarez, America Sierra, 3BallMty, Straight No Chaser, Billboard Music Awards, and commercials for MCV, Walgreens, and Princess Cruise Lines. Her students traveled to the Philippines to compete and received several top honors. As a choreographer, her talents have been enlisted by Baldyga Entertainment for The Globe's Drum Jam & Tap Show, Miss Guam USA competition and dance studios both nationally and abroad. As an instructor, Candace is recognized to be an incredible motivator, a dedicated spirit, and a well-versed technician. Whether expressing herself through Jazz, Lyrical, Hip-hop, Contemporary, or Tap, Candace thrives off of her love and passion for dance.

Mikey Trasoras – Hip Hop
Choreographer and dancer Mikey Trasoras serves as Co-Owner and Director of In Studio Dance, which premiered nationwide in 2013.
